Description
Have you ever wondered how tea is made? 🌱☕ Tea is usually grown in warm, tropical climates across Asia and Africa. But, in Cornwall, England, there’s a unique farm with the perfect microclimate to grow tea right here in the UK. In this video I visit Tregothnan Estate to discover how tea plants are grown, picked, and turned into the drink we grown-ups know and love. (In this video, we also travel to Sri Lanka, where I visited tea plantations in 2022 to see how tea is grown in its more typical tropical mountain environment. Most of the tea drunk in the UK comes from China, India, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. The people who grow, pick, and produce tea in these countries make our daily cuppa possible, so they’re a hugely important part of the story.) Join me to follow the journey from tea plant to tea cup! Thank you so much to Jonathon Jones and everyone at the Tregothnan Estate in Truro, Cornwall, for showing us around and welcoming us to their farm! https://tregothnan.co.uk/ https://tregothnan.co.uk/pages/our-tea-story #Tea #HowThingsWork #Farming #ScienceForKids #MaddieMoate #HowIsItMade
