Oh, let’s all do the Forklift Boogie Back and forth and up and down For this job working in the marina A better rig cannot be found See how high he lifts this boat up Then so gently pulls his blades He doesn’t want anything to break up That’s just how a Forklift’s made Let’s do the Forklift Boogie Lift it up, set it down Back it up, turn around The Forklift Boogie, yeah! With padded forks that he can rotate Protects the hull so carefully Watch this lift go and demonstrate A launch performed so perfectly And when it’s time to recover a boat At a level that dips below the ground He reaches low with strength and balance That’s just awesome and profound So do the Forklift Boogie Lift it up, set it down Back it up, turn around The Forklift Boogie, yeah! He can lift such heavy boats that He has to have a counterweight in back This is so he won’t tip over Lowering loads from the dry stack This machine he earns our trust while Working with water on every side To ensure he’s protected from rust His forks and chassis are galvanized To do the Forklift Boogie Lift it up, set it down Back it up, turn around Again! Lift it up, set it down Back it up, turn around The Forklift Boogie, yeah! Lifting and lowering boats Oh yeah! The Forklift Boogie on water Copyright Hammershark Media LLC 2026
